How much will delivery cost me?

Delivery is not included in the flower prices. Pick up from the farm is free, but you must contact to arrange pickup. The delivery cost can vary depending on where we are sending the flowers to.  Please Click Here for further details.

Do you have minimum purchase?

There is no minimum quantity that must be ordered.  Products are generally sold as a bunch, or as box lots, exactly as in the item description.  There is a minimum $75 dollar value per transaction or order. If you want a single bunch or a couple of stems of flowers you should support your local florist and get them there.

Can I order over the phone?

It is highly preferable that you place your orders through our web site.  You can call us to discuss your order or for urgent enquiries, but we don't operate a 'call center' as we are primarily a wholesale production and distribution nursery.

Who can buy flowers from Floriculture.com.au?

Our huge selection of grower fresh flowers are available for sale to everyone. Florists, restaurants, hotels, caterers, wedding planners, brides, or individuals now can all take advantage of our fantastic selection, wholesale prices and quick delivery. Supplying large wholesale buyers is the backbone of our business and our website is setup to cater to wholesale clients requirements - once logged in they have customised pricing and content.

Can I change the delivery date/gift message/address/product after my order has been placed?

Probably, but you'll want to let us know about any changes as quickly as you possibly can, preferably at least 24 hours before the shipping date. We can't edit an order once the order has been picked, but we're happy to make changes until then. Just give us a call or send us an email letting us know what needs to change, and we'll do our best to make sure that it gets done.

When do I need to place my order?

We can usually dispatch flowers the same day or within 24 hours of receiving an order.  We highly recommend that flowers for weddings or events be ordered at least 7 to 10 days before the event.

How soon before my event should I schedule my flowers to arrive?

We highly recommend that you receive your flowers 3 to 4 days before your event.
Our flowers are cut in bud stage and roses are shipped with all their guard petals for protection during travel. (The guard petal is usually discolored or another shade of color and needs to be removed.) Following our care instructions will allow your flowers to open. ( Some varieties do take longer to open then others, this information is listed per flower in our catalog. (Example: Lilies may take up to 3-5 days to open, while some rose varieties will open within a few hours. Most flowers will hold well if handled correctly 5-7 days and easily last up to two weeks) Allow at least 24 hours in water for product to start to open and look their best.

How soon can I place my order?

You can place your order up to twelve months in advance.  The order can be changed or cancelled at any time prior to starting to get your order ready without penalty.

I want some items you don't have listed, can you get them for me and send with my order?

Yes you can!! Just request what you want using the '-special request-' item listed in our catalogue (click on All Products...) and add any extra details in the comments field during the checkout process. We'll get back with a quote and availability ASAP. Contact us if you need to discuss this further.  If you cancel your order after we have received in your special order item/s it may still be charged, whether you still wish to receive it or not.

Where do the flowers come from?

We ship all of our flowers from our own packing shed in Silvan Victoria, which is in the heart of the main flower growing region of Australia.  We are bordered by highly productive horticultural areas, including the Yarra Valley which is renowned for it's fine wines and tourism along with being located in the heart of the Dandenong Ranges which is a favourite day trip and wedding tourist area for people in the Melbourne metropolitan area.
The majority of all of our flowers are produced on local farms, who are experts in the varieties of flowers that they grow.  We produce a select range of premium flowers on our own farms also.  Some tropical flowers and foliage are imported from other areas of Australia and from overseas when they are unavailable locally.
We do not use any wire services or third party companies to deliver flowers as we wish to tightly control the quality and freshness from our own distribution location.

What if the flower I choose is not available at time of shipping?

We plan our crops carefully and work closely with our growers to assure that products will be available for the delivery dates of our costumers order. But we must keep in mind we are working with Mother nature and in certain times of the year there may be high demands, crop failures or weather conditions that could prevent the availability of the flower you have ordered. Our staff of experienced floral experts will then fine a similar flower or color to match your requested product. Since in most cases shortages are not know till the same day of shipping, Floriculture reserves the right to make substitutions without any type of notification to the customer. We will however attempt to contact you prior to shipping to discuss the matter. If the product is one of a kind and cannot be substituted an email will be sent to the customer on the day of shipping or 24-hours before.

Do you have a catalog?

Our product line is constantly changing, with the seasons, with the weather, and whenever we have products available. We're able to constantly update our website, whereas a print catalog is hard to change once it has been printed! You can view and order all of our flowers through the website, and conserve paper in the process.

Can I order an odd number of flowers (i.e. 21 tulips, 49 roses, or 18 lilies), create a custom mixed bouquet, or add a teddy bear to my order?

Because our flowers are shipped direct from the farm, the bunches are already packed into wholesale bunches.  That means you receive larger bunches of fresher, more beautiful flowers, but the flip side is that it means that we're not able to offer custom bunches or bouquets. It also means no teddy bears.

Will my pink tulip colour match my pink rose colour?

Most flowers have the same colour range (White, Pink, Yellow, Lavender, Red, Etc) but not the same colour tone. Most designers like this since it stays in the same colour range of the event but gives life to the floral arrangement with different tones.

Will my flowers look exactly like the pictures in the website?

No. We try to be as accurate as possible, but there are often variations during the seasons, between the growers, etc. The images are a very good approximation of the products' shape and color, but some variation can be expected.

How do I view my account information and order history?

To view your account (and make changes to personal information, like your billing, shipping, or email address), just click on the "My Account" link at the top of the home page and log in. You'll find your personal information, order history, and address book, all right there.

Do you ever have sales?

We do have discounts on specific products from time to time, usually when there is a seasonal flush of flowers in production. To be notified about these discounts, just sign up to be on our mailing list, and you'll receive regular email messages about exclusive offers, new products, and advance notification of some seasonal flowers.

Why do the products and prices change frequently?

Because we are wholesale production (flower grower) and distribution company our prices are based on the current wholesale flower prices.  This prices on this site are controlled by the current wholesale market prices.  This gives you the best and most up to date prices and indication of stock availability possible.

Do you ship overseas?

International flower delivery is only available to wholesale export clients. We are currently unable to send any retail orders overseas.

If my order has a carrier delay will my flowers be fine?

If your flowers are delayed they will be a little more dehydrated and will need to be processed ( Cut and put in water as soon as possible ) they will perk up within several hours. If you still encounter any problems you must contact us immediately.
We do sometimes encounter delays of 24-48 hours. Floriculture recommends receiving your flowers at least 2-3 Business days (If you live in rural area 3+ Business days needed) prior in case of such delays. We package all our flowers to hold well for 48-72 hours while in transit. Floriculture sends a customer email with carriers tracking number and/or shipping information which will have the expected delivery date. You must contact us immediately if the order does not turn up when expected.

Can I request delivery at a certain time of day?

Unfortunately, we are unable to offer a time specific delivery service.  Our current shipping partners only offer day specific services.

Can you put a card with a message in the box?

We can write a brief message on the flower care card included with your flowers. Include this in the comments section when placing your order.

What happens if no one is there to sign or receive the parcel?

It is always best to have someone receive the consignment or have it sent to a work address.  Please advise if it is OK to leave if in a safe place. Courier companies will leave a card and may charge a redelivery fee if no one is there to accept the delivery.  Australia Post will leave a card advising that the box(es) are at the local Post Office to pick up.

Will my credit card be charged when I place my order, or when the flowers ship?

Your card is charged when the order is starting to be picked. If you're ordering a continuing program, your credit card is charged for one month when the order is placed, and then on the first of the month for the remainder of the program until cancelled by you.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept payment by Visa and Mastercard.  Payment by direct deposit is also available as an option, however a payment advice must be faxed or emailed to us prior to picking and sending of your order. Accounts are only available to flower wholesalers and importers who must qualify and be approved for such an account.

Can I come pick up my flowers?

You can pick up your flowers from the farm. You must order and pay for your flowers before making an arrangement to pick up from the farm.  Flowers can not be purchased at the farm without the order having already been placed and accepted.

Can we come and visit the farm, look at the flowers and where they grow?

While it is a friendly place, we are unable to allow farm visits, tours or browsing the flowers in our production and distribution areas.
